This petition is for the reformation of the prison system in order to rehabilitate prisoners. Prison should not be an experience that further sends prisoners into a downward spiral. But, can be a chance to provide education and therapy/counseling so that the prisoner has the opportunity to become a productive member of society. This would require additional funding to instigate but could lessen the cost in the long run by reducing repeat prisoners.
