A big portion of tax revenues (federal and state) go to funding public schools, so parents who send their children to private schools end up paying twice.
Children who go to private schools do not use public resources, so their parents should not be charged for public education.
The costs of private school should be an income tax credit to offset the potion that funds public schools.
This will encourage the use of private schools and reduce the burden on public schools.
