Created by A.C. on December 28, 2012

While I was in college, I had grants but I went to IU and my grants given as resident of KY did not pay the full amount for tuition and college expenses. I drove 100 miles from home and during the economic crash it was hard to get a job, I was unemployed for 2 yrs. As a result, of the bad economy most of my student loans and financial aid was cut off. I obtained a private student loan consigned by my father.Recently had some unexpected family emergencies and missed loan payments. American Education Services who is collecting the loan on behalf of Chase, haven't get a reasonable solution to reduce monthly payment. Haven't find another lender to refinance the loan. The loan is based on a variable rate given by LIBOR,will take 20 yrs to re-pay 32K.Each month I pay $200.00 in interest rate!
