The federal government should make the post office and postal system part of the private sector. This would reduce any debt the post office incurs (millions of dollars were lost on Simpsons themed stamps), create new jobs and competition (between shipping leaders fighting for new market share), eliminate the government monopoly and possibly even eliminate the religious bias of no mail on Sundays. Privatizing the post office would create a smaller government that could better focus on what it really needs to do.
