Privatize social security to keep it out of the hands of government which has proven to handle it irresponsibly.

The government has mishandled social security by spending money that should have been saved for future payments. In addition, privatization would allow for money to be invested into the private sector, growing both the economy and the social security savings. A public option can still be left available, but we should allow for autonomy and choice in retirement savings, especially given the federal governments proven irresponsibility.
