According to the USPS website (https://about.usps.com/news/national-releases/2013/pr13_087.htm) $5 billion dollars was lost by USPS at the end of the fiscal year in 2013. CNSnews.com reported on March 14, 2014, that the USPS owed $100 billion in unpaid liabilities to "its current and retired workers.". With U.S. debt still skyrocketing, it makes economical sense to privatize the USPS. Privatization could lead to higher efficiency in delivery and an actual surplus instead of debt.
