What is so insanely sacred about the refineries in the southern states? Yes, we need oil from Canada. Yes, we need to create jobs. No, we don't need to destroy our landscape and risk the guaranteed damage that will eventually be caused by a totally unnecessary pipeline.
Build a refinery in Montana!
It still gets us the oil.
It still creates jobs.
It preserves the environment.
Montana is just as centrally located as southern Texas.
Where did the idea to build a pipeline ever come from in the first place?
Alternatives that actually make sense deserve more time than perpetual arguing and political maneuvering.
