In 1939, President Franklin D. Roosevelt proclaimed that Thanksgiving shall be observed on the 3rd Thursday of November, rather than what had been the tradition of the 4th Thursday.
This petition urges the President to support America's small businesses and to give extra days of critical economic activity, by moving the observance of this most glorious of our holidays to the 2nd Thursday of November.
