Radio drama (now audio drama) fell out of favor in the 1960's but is now back with the help of the internet.
Across our nation groups of actors, writers, directors and sound people are starting new audio drama companies.
They are utilizing not only the power of the story and voice, but all the power present technology can give us to tell a compelling story, from binaural sound, to beautifully composed music.
It is time to recognize audio drama with it's own special day on the anniversary of that incredible performance that captured the imagination of a nation.
