Whether shanghai is a Northern city or Southern city has long been a dispute. Most Chinese "Big southerners" (wo da nan fang ren) regard Shanghai as a Northern city, but Shanghai is geographically defined as a city in the Southern part of China. We, as BIG southerners, petition US government to advocate the theory of Utilitarianism and create the greatest happiness for the greatest number of people, by proclaiming Shanghai as a northern Chinese city.
