Proclaim the word "pled" as correct and preferred for the past tense of "plead".

Created by S.W. on February 25, 2016

Too many Americans hold onto a notion that "pleaded" is proper for the past tense of "plead". They look down on those who say "pled" and the rancor and suspicion between those considering themselves proper over plain speaking folk has gotten worse instead of better. We have no doubt a president of your wit could bridge this divide. If not attended to by your office, there is little hope a future president can resolve this festering matter.
