This petition is to draw attention to the importance of dealing with anal cancer. Greater attention to the impact of anal cancer and specific research associated with it should be funded. I work on-line with several people who have started Facebook pages for those who have been affected by this disease. One of those sites is one entitled, "Anal Cancer Is A Pain In The Butt Literally", drawing awareness to anal cancer, but national recognition of the existence of anal cancer is needed. There is also a page started in 2014, called 21st March: Anal Cancer Awareness Day and its time Anal Cancer should be recognized (like Breast Cancer has been) and a proclamation for this day would be compassionate and fitting.
