While Pokémon Go has it's benefits to promote physical activity, any introduction of geographic-markers in augmented realities to protected spaces, should be prohibited. Recently, I explored Mt. Elbert in the San Isabel National Forest, and above the tree line, I had a crystal-clear signal. I was curious to see if any geographic-markers had been created for such a unique space. As of yet, there were none that I could find. I was relieved to be honest. These areas have been protected because they provide a connection to nature, and they should remain as pure as possible. Katharine Lee Bates was inspired by a view from Pikes Peak in the poem that became "America the Beautiful." That view should be maintained as is, without a Pikachu on the horizon of a Colorado sunrise.
