As citizens of the United States of America, we are proudly given certain rights and liberties. Our country is founded on our freedom, yet some people occasionally forget this. These people reach out to our government in an attempt to create unbelievable laws. We need to prevent this outlandish fear mongering from dictating our laws and destroying our freedom.
One such example is a petition to ban a video game... A SPECIFIC video game. It calls for the Obama Administration to :
- enact an immediate ban on the video game
- seize and destroy all copies
- prosecute the players
- create a national database of videogame avatars and "screen names" so that teenagers can be better monitored
I would be laughing if I didn't think such a law could actually pass.
