Dear President Obama, in accordance with Justice Jackson's concurrence in Youngstown Sheet & Tube Co. v. Sawyer, 343 U.S. 579 (1952), which describes the Executive Power of the President to act, in certain circumstances, against the expressed or implied will of Congress, I would request that you personally make a phone call to the executives of Warner Bros. Studios, or to Mr. Affleck himself, and personally prohibit Ben Affleck from portraying Bruce Wayne/Batman in the Man of Steel sequel and in any future film.
Additionally, although Warner Bros. Studios are private, rather than state actors, their act of hiring Ben Affleck will have a substantial impact on Interstate Commerce, since the films will be distributed across state lines, where they will fail to perform and make a profit.
