Prohibit campaign donations unless the donator is entitled to vote in the election/for the candidate they're donating to

Created by N.B. on September 24, 2011

Many Americans are fed up with the influence of corporate money in our political system. We can address this problem, at least in part, by prohibiting all campaign donations unless the person donating actually has the right to vote for the candidate they're donating to.

Ask the President to propose a constitutional amendment to remove corporate money from our elections. Corporations may be "people," but they are not American citizens. Their interest, and their duty, is to grow wealth for their shareholders -- NOT to support American interests. They have no vote, and NO interest in supporting politicians that look out for the average American.

They might still be able to run their own commercials, but we can at least get their money out of the politicians' coffers.
