Dogs are treated mostly as family pet in major China cities, however because of the demand of dog meat consumption, family pets were often stolen from their owners, and sold to restaurants.
During the transportation process, these dogs were often locked in tiny cages and transported in trucks for many hours. They were not inspected and due to the poor transportation environment, when they suffered on consumer's tables, these meat could be viruliferous.
Currently there is no official laws from the Chinese government to protect these poor animals, many Chinese people have voluntarily stood up for them. Recent news happened around China shows a strong determination of many dog lovers, and the difficulties we are facing.
All we wanted, is to give our lovely pet a safe home.
