There must be a good faith review process as mandated by Federal guidelines. Certain legal units, agencies and departments are complicit in evading their responsibilities regarding Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 and this may involve malfeasance in the discharge of Federal dollars, a lack of good faith and complicity that is misleading the public, in addition to being a conflict of interest in violation of the use of Federal Funding. We request a transparent process that involves all significant sectors of the community and ensures that contributions, suggestions and proposals are given due weight and scrutiny in a timely manner for both immediate and long term impact on the sustained viability of the African-American community in Columbus, Ohio.
