We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

PROHIBIT DISCRIMINATION BASED ON SEXUAL ORIENTATION NATIONWIDE

Created by S.S. on October 27, 2016

Contrary to popular belief, issues involving the LGBT community do not stop at the legalization of marriage equality. In many states, various forms of discrimination towards someone for their sexual orientation are not seen as discrimination, allowing discrimination in schools, housing, public accommodations, and the workforce. I call on the United States government to take this issue to heart, as many have, and rise up against LGBT discrimination on a strict, national level. Too many times, the LGBT community is not noticed until there is a tragedy, and then once the shock has died down, so does the support for LGBT issues. LGBT people should not have to be victims of murder or suicide for their pain to be noticed, and the discrimination against them to be stopped.
