The citizens elect representatives to managed the country in a sound and responsible way, and to enact legislation that is good for the country. For this service the elected representatives are paid on average, $172,000 per year and provided with generous benefits.
We propose that a law be enacted that prohibits any politician from seeking re-election if a balanced federal budget for any fiscal year they are in office is not passed.
It does not serve the citizens of this country for party politics to paralyze the efficient running of the government and it's time that the people who have been elected, (hired), to manage the country's affairs on behalf of the citizens be held accountable for their performance other than at election time.
