Since the purpose of producing oil and gas in the United States is to insure the United States' energy future, there should be a prohibition on exporting all oil and gas produced on US soil.
It has been reported that, for the first time, the US has become an energy exporter. We cannot afford to allow energy companies to deplete the US energy resources by exporting them to foreign countries. We need to produce the energy resources we need as we need them. The faster the gas and oil resources are drilled, the sooner they will run-out.
Every politician has touted the need to insure America's energy future. We can only do that by prohibiting the export of these precious resources.
