Infant circumcision should be illegal.
It is performed every day on newborn boys who are incapable of consent.
It has horrible consequences and flimsy benefits. Among other things, the large number of removed nerve endings drastically reduces male sexual function.
It causes hundreds of deaths every year, often by blood loss immediately following the procedure.
It is an irrational violation of human rights. There is little to separate it from medical malpractice.
Unfortunately, it is still condoned by the United States.
Stop it.
