Usury is prohibited, banned, or regulated in three major world religions, Muslim, Christian, and Jewish. Banning of usury can be a modern policy decision of common ground around which all three can agree. It might be more effective than ending the Fed, ending the IRS, or returning to gold and silver coin as money, or it might be a part of doing those other things, too. Usury is unnatural, and impossible to continue in the long run, and is compared to slavery and extortion in the Holy Texts. An ounce of gold, lent at usury at 0.38%, over 6000 years, will grow into such a large amount, it would be all the gold in the entire world. At 2.5%, it would grow into all the atoms of the universe. Usury, in large amounts, is unpayable, and results in tyranny, dictatorship, and loss of freedom.
