prohibit Jerry Jones Owner of the Dallas Cowboys to act as General Manager due to a direct Conflict of Interest

Created by J.L. on November 27, 2012

As a Dallas Cowboy's fan it is very frustrating an unethical that Jerry Jones is the Owner and General Manager of the franchise. The responsibilty of the Owner is to make the franchise profitable. The General Manager oversees making sure the best players are assembled to form a winning team and staying within the salary cap. There is a major conflict of initerest created by Jerry Jones having both responsibilities. Are players being selected because of on field ability and potential? History shows that key draft picks, free agency signings and trades have been based on the ability to generate revenue rather than form a winning team. Legislation needs to be passed to keep Jerry Jones from controlling both aspects of the organization.
