prohibit the people’s ability to run puppy mills, large scale breeding farms, in the United States.

Created by O.H. on March 17, 2014

The abuse that these animals go through in puppy mills is horrible. These are not happy pets living in tiny wired in cages, being mistreated, and unloved. In May of 2013 the ASPCA (American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals), a non-profit organization for animals, assisted in the removal of more than 150 dogs living in a Michigan puppy mill. These animals were suffering through conditions such as,“[living in] outdoor enclosures with little protection from the elements, and no access to clean drinking water or proper shelter,” (ASPCA website). Animals that are not given the right to their basic needs are suffering in these conditions. It is clear that no dog would ever be able to live a healthy happy life in a place like this.
