Since marijuana can't be legalized, alcohol should NOT be legal as well. There have been many cases shown where the consumption alcohol causes many negative effects to the human body. Drinking alcohol can lead to brain damage, heart failure, liver failure, and cancer. For women, drinking alcohol during pregnancy can really determine the physical and mental health of the unborn child. It is also known to be the leading cause of unexpected pregnancy. Although the use of marijuana can lead to serious health effects, the number of deaths pertaining to alcohol is incomparable to the number of deaths pertaining to marijuana because the numbers are too high for alcohol use. The prohibition of Alcohol would promote a better general welfare across the US instead of destroying lives.
