When the founders of this country added the "right to bear arms" to the bill of rights, they did not envision the death of innocent children and adults in their classrooms, movie theaters, churches, or other places of public gathering. How many violent people have carried guns, people whose mental illnesses were undiagnosed, overlooked, or perfectly concealed? While many are mentally ill and they use violence to carry out their aims, others carry arms in order to intimidate their neighbors. In the late 1700's when this right was proposed, they had a militia, now in the year 2015 we don't have militia's we have a military and machine guns. Guns are for the battlefield. Many imitate what they see and since hatred is glorified in society we will never see the end of murder, rape, racism.
