Due to the horse meat scandal in Europe, I feel that it should be the United State's prerogative to set better standards for food safety. If this movement is unable to ban the sale of horse meat, the sales of such a product should be regulated to ensure horse meat is not found in ground meat products. Animal rights aside, the use of certain drugs on horses can remain in horse meat, becoming harmful to consumers.
