Approve legislation that prohibits employers from excluding unemployed workers from applying for job openings. It has become common practice for employers to post job opportunity advertisements on internet web sites or in newspapers that require applicants to be currently employed regardless of their qualifications. This type discrimination should be outlawed since it prejudges that an unemployed person is not qualified for a position solely because they happen to be unemployed.
