Comcast has announced a plan to nationally implement data cap limitations to home internet. It is no secret that in many cases, residence only have 1 internet company choice already. With the rise of streaming services like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon, customers are discontinuing with their cable packages. These data caps effectively strangle out streaming services and limit the customer's ability to choose, forcing us to purchase cable packages. With the rise of 4k video streaming, the 1TB cap is not nearly reasonable as a single 4k feature length movie can be around 100GB in size. Comcast has openly said these caps have nothing to do with the load on their networks. These caps are bad for the consumer, and further monopolize the internet industry.
