Prohibit the use of 555 as the standard prefix for telephone numbers in television and movies.

Created by K.E. on June 21, 2013

The practice of using the 555 prefix for telephone numbers in television and movies needs to cease as it is annoying to viewers and takes 10 million phone numbers out of circulation. When viewers hear or see the 555 used as the prefix for a phone number it takes them out of what they are watching and disrupts the flow of the show/movie.

A much better system would be for 10 numbers to be set aside for each area code for use by the producers of movies and shows. By using this system less phone numbers would be taken out of circulation, and viewers will have greater enjoyment.
