Mr. President,
Now that the polls are closed, action must be taken immediately to grow our nation's economy and create jobs, while reducing the federal deficit. Contrary to what the Republicans say, 60% of the voters at the polls this year have given YOU a mandate to extend the current middle class tax cuts and repeal the Bush Tax Cuts for the rich. Also, we can create millions of jobs and cut the deficit by:
Cracking down on offshore tax shelters
Eliminating tax loopholes that reward US businesses that move manufacturing jobs overseas
Ending tax breaks and subsidies to big oil
Establishing a currency manipulation fee on currency manipulators
Passing a 'Robin Hood Tax'
And many more! If we fight for and pass these ideas, our economic problems would be solved!
