Promise not to veto a bill, if one is passed by Congress, that would repeal indefinite detention of American citizens.

The National Defense Authorization Act (a.k.a. NDAA) for fiscal year 2012 is a highly controversial bill that is believed to allow for the indefinite detention of anyone (including American citizens) without charge or trial "who was part of or substantially supported al-Qaeda, the Taliban, or associated forces that are engaged in hostilities against the United States or its coalition partners." These terms are poorly defined or not defined. Bills have been introduced in Congress to repeal the section of the NDAA that contains this. If Congress chooses to pass a bill that either repeals this section or guarantees due process for American citizens, and has no other purpose, please do not veto the bill.
