To promote a 28th Amendment to the Constitution of The United States of America.

Created by A.F. on January 20, 2014

I would like the president to push forward with a new amendment to the constitution that sets the maximum salary of a congressmen or congresswomen no more than five times that of a a person working full-time (40 hrs per week for 52 weeks). Also within that amendment make it so that in order to receive partial benefits a person must serve three terms as a Senator or Representative and to receive full benefits they must serve at least six terms.

The reason for this new amendment is to first cut back on our spending. Second I believe that running for public office, regardless of party affiliation or if you are a conservative or liberal, should be motivated by wanting to help improve the lives of your fellow citizens instead of earning a six figure income with great benefits.
