This credence of terrorist power is detrimental to the international effort by yielding recognition in favor of a group that does not hold sovereignty. This recognition belittles the greatness of the states facing terror posed by Al-Qaeda in Iraq, and announces the willingness of sovereign states to bow to petty demands made by terrorists.
