promote the cessation of detrimental reference to the terrorist group Al-Qaeda in Iraq.

Created by T.W. on March 16, 2015

The cessation of terminology in reference to Islamic radical group formerly and properly known as Al-Qaeda in Iraq is necessary to disarm the psychological power given to the group through any mention of the formation of an Islamic State, Caliphate or nation. This credence of terrorist power is detrimental to the international effort by yielding recognition in favor of a group that does not hold sovereignty. This recognition belittles the greatness of the states facing terror posed by Al-Qaeda in Iraq, and announces the willingness of sovereign states to bow to petty demands made by terrorists. In dealing with second-rate non-state actors it is necessary to maintain the integrity of sovereign states even in such issues as names.
