Someone who spends their entire adult life in politics, moving from seat to seat, without ever doing anything else is in no way able to relate to the average US citizen. Many politicians are 'professional politicians' in that all they do and care about doing is getting reelected. Its time this changes, and we truly create a government that is comprised of normal US citizens. I believe that our government would become much more effective if we limited the amount of terms that a politician could serve. Its hard to say what this number should be, but probably 2-5. This way new politicians can 'learn the ropes' for a term or so, and then spend their last term or two really making the changes they believe in.
