Promote evenhanded public scientific review of the assertion that homosexuality is not pathological or disordered.

To date, there has never been an evenly represented, non-ideological public discussion of the science on each side of the assertion that homosexuality is not a disorder or pathology. This public conversation is long overdue. The voices of actual science on both sides of this question need and deserve to be heard by any and all who are interested, This is a question which, if treated respectfully and in a truly scientific manner, could go a long way towards enhancing greater understanding on both sides of this question. The intent of this petition has nothing at all to do with hate, but everything to do with a desire for real, meaningful knowledge, devoid of political or ideological hysteria, and hopefully safe from the usual dismissal due to ideological intolerance from either side.
