Promote, expand and professionalize child daycare options.

Providing safe, affordable, and adequate daycare for the children of working parents is an unmitigated good for our society, our families and our economy. This petition calls on the White House to
(1) Push for a larger tax credit for child care, in most large cities, $3000 only covers about1 or 2 months of care for 1 child.
(2) Create a system of professionalization for providers to leverage, many community colleges have started, but the system needs more reach.
(3) Create a resource office at the federal level for daycare providers and state regulators to provide training and to create a community of practice.
(4) Ensure new parents have access to neutral, local information about child care in their area, research is usually the hardest part for most new parents looking for care.
