Promote expiration and/or phase out periods for laws unrelated to civil rights or fundamental reform.

Created by E.L. on September 27, 2013

If we agree that American society can make positive progress in regard to personal responsibility, then it's reasonable to assume a tipping point of laws will be reached, at which point laws would again give way to principles of personal responsibility. To support that notion, and give more Congressional oversight to the structure of our laws by way of cyclical review, I support expiration and/or phase out periods on all laws except civil rights and fundamental reform. Limits would vary but should be no less than the typical tenure of a Congressman. This will create organizational complexity, however the tradeoff is legal simplification over time. Bureaucracy that creates smaller government! Thank you.
