In early 2013, Akamai Technologies in Cambridge, MA released a report of the fastest internet speeds by country. The United States ranked 14th behind such countries as Bulgaria, Latvia, and South Korea. In this information age, and with the resources of the United States, we need to allow consumers and the government to operate more quickly and efficiently with an improved infrastructure. Faster internet speeds will greatly benefit the country and could also be a small boost to the economy.
