We all like to think that USA is number one on everything, but think again. How long does it take travel from NY to ATL or from LA to DALLAS? The answer comes with a huge waste of valuable time, 18hrs(864mi) and 1 day 15hrs (1436mi) respectively using Amtrak. Almost for the same distance,(1,428 mi) from Beijing to Guangzhou only takes 8hrs. Yes that's in China! A report published on "Popular Mechanics, Super trains: plans to fix US Rail could end road and sky gridlock " states that a 400 mile Amtrak trip from Boston to Baltimore takes 7hrs and a 480mi between Paris and Marseille only takes 3hrs.
I think it is time to move forward to the real 21st Century.
