Our non-governmental organisation MINE NGO, thinks about the miners in the Congo - how it is their job to mine and the cruel conditions that they face - and how everyone calls their technology ‘mine’. Technology has become a largely defining factor in the international community; it helps us communicate, inform, and entertain. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, miners are illegally mining without equipment and they lose their hands, fingers and even their lives. This invisible issue is related to everyone around the world; because we live in a world in which everyone uses a smartphone or electronic device. We want to raise awareness on this invisible issue and equip these coltan miners to prevent more loss. Their human rights are being violated and it is our duty to advocate for the
