Our forefathers created a representative system of government whereby citizens elect other citizens in their region to represent them in the US government. They did not envision and would not approve of the gross influence big moneyed special interests have today in our elections and government.
This can be fixed by only allowing bonafide constituents of a candidate to make contributions intended to influence an election. Everyone who is not a constituent is buying influence.
