Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, parents have been allowed the option to provide their children with health insurance well into their twenties.This has been a great boon for parents and has also served to provide insurance to the all-to-often uninsured youth of this country.
However, millions of senior citizens across the country rely solely on the federal government's Medicare program to provide for their medical needs, and with the ever increasing size of the senior population, the cost of the Medicare program is only going to increase as well.
To alleviate these potential costs; We petition the administration to support the creation of legislation that would grant the adult children of senior or retired citizens the option to cover their parents on their health insurance plans.
