promote a "NEW New Deal" in order to simultaneously put people to work, stimulate the economy, and benefit society.

Created by B.R. on September 22, 2011

Tax cuts do not create jobs. Demand creates jobs. That's Econ 101... If people don't have money to spend, the government should step in and fill the void. The New Deal worked when FDR proposed it to get us out of the Great Depression, so it should be obvious that we need do the same thing now. We need to put people to work building the infrastructure of tomorrow. This benefits society as a whole and puts money in the pockets of people who will go out and spend it on necessities which will further contribute to the stimulation of the economy. Government spending to create jobs starts currency flowing throughout the economy. Tax cuts for the rich do little to stimulate the economy because the extra cash will just end up in the black hole of some offshore bank account.
