promote no-till farming.

Created by K.W. on March 28, 2014

The USDA, Department of Agriculture, NRCS, and the ASCF offices should better promote no-till farming. Offer programs to farmers just like CRP programs to help farmers switch to no-till. No-till saves fuel cost as it is less passes throught the field. Also, with tillage equipment, hardpans can be created reducing lower yields. The crop residue that is left on the soil due to no-till is create for water infiltration and preventing erosion. Microbes increase in no-till enviorenment. There are many benefits to no-till. Farmers need to be able to understand this and be encouraged to switch to no-till.
