Based on revelations over the last several years that many large and extremely profitable corporations pay little to no federal income tax, while hard working American families with as little as $70.7K taxable income have a marginal rate of 25% (married filing jointly) in addition to possibly having to deal with the alternative minimum tax, I believe it's well past time that there be a minimum tax for corporations. In addition to their low tax rates, corporations are sitting on trillions of dollars, much of it offshore, rather than investing it in the U.S., all the while crying about being overly taxed. Their businesses could not succeed without the -admittedly crumbling - infrastructure of the U.S. It's time they paid more taxes to rebuild that infrastructure, among other things.
