Promote policies that force politicians to put partisanship aside for the greater good of the nation and it's citizens.

The US government is and, for the most part, always has been driven by the goals of two major political parties. The ideals of these two parties are opposing. As we can see in our legislature, partisanship regularly can get in the way of progress as the the opposing parties are unable to come to a decision.
Recently, with the death of Justice Antonin Scalia, the clash of the parties has become very apparent as senators attempt to stall the selection of a new justice until the inauguration of the next president in nearly a year. This outrageous as the SCOTUS is meant to operate with all nine justices. There should policies in place that limit the time it takes to approve presidentially elected/senate approved government positions. The Obama administration should support any such policies.
