Here in America, we do not have a culture accepting on the concept of a siesta. I would like that to change. Siestas have definite health benefits. Regular midday napping has shown to reduce stress, and the risk of heart disease. In addition, a "power nap" can increase one's alertness and happiness. A happy employee is a harder working employee. This will then lead to more productivity at work. A siesta is not new to the world; it has been practiced for centuries and is still employed all over the world. It was even used by Former President Clinton during his time in the White House! So, let us encourage all hard working Americans to take a little nap halfway through their day - it may help us to be a little happier and healthier :-)
